| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a bold equal-armed cross with pellets or annulets in each angle, forming a cross crosslet-style composition characteristic of early Bohemian deniers. The surrounding legend, rendered in crude Latin capitals, runs along the coin's periphery. The overall style is archaic and irregular, consistent with the primitive hammered coinage of tenth-century Bohemia under Boleslaus I. |
