Denier - Boleslaus I the Brave unknown mint

Boleslaus I, duke from 992 and crowned king only in 1025 shortly before his death, issued deniers at a moment when Poland was asserting itself as a distinct political entity rather than a tributary of the Holy Roman Empire. These coins are among the earliest products of organized minting on Polish soil, though the workshop location remains genuinely unknown — not simply unrecorded, but actively debated among Polish numismatic scholars, with Gniezno, Poznań, and Cracow all proposed on differing grounds.
