| Popis líce | Central voided cross with beaded outline, each arm filled with a row of beads extending toward the periphery. In each of the four voids between the arms of the cross appears a single Latin letter, together reading B-O-L-I (for Boleslaus), arranged clockwise or counterclockwise depending on variety. The overall design is rendered in the primitive Romanesque hammered style characteristic of late 12th-century Silesian bracteate-related coinage. The field is plain and the flan is irregular. |

The composition is symmetrically balanced, with the figures occupying the full height of the field. Details are worn but the characteristic bilateral symmetry of the design remains discernible. |
