Obverse description Crude facing bust of King Henry II depicted frontally, rendered in the rough, stylised manner typical of early 11th-century episcopal coinage. The effigy occupies the central field, with facial features suggested by simple linear strokes. A beaded or pellet-dotted border frames the design, and the surrounding circumscription carries the royal legend in Latin capitals.
