Obverse description Frontal stylized figure of a ruler or armed knight in low relief, holding a sword, depicted in a schematic Romanesque manner characteristic of 12th-century German bracteate-influenced coinage. The design is enclosed within a plain inner circle, itself set within the irregular flan. No legend is present. The striking is typical of hammered Pfennig coinage of the Bavarian region.

Reverse description A bold cross potent at center, with one large pellet (globule) placed in each of the four angles formed by the cross arms, giving a symmetrical quatrefoil arrangement. The design is contained within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by a second plain raised border, all set on the characteristically irregular hammered flan. No inscription or legend is present. The relief is crisp and the cross arms terminate in squared, T-shaped finials consistent with the potent form.
