| Beschrijving keerzijde | A heraldic eagle displayed in profile facing right, with wings spread open, standing upright within a beaded (pearl) circle. The eagle is rendered in a bold, stylized manner characteristic of Árpád-era Hungarian deniers, with clearly defined wing feathering and talons visible at the base. The field outside the pearl border is plain. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Béla IV's reign was defined almost entirely by the Mongol invasion of 1241–42, which devastated Hungary so thoroughly that contemporary chronicles describe entire counties depopulated. The royal treasury was disrupted, court functions scattered, and minting operations — centered at Esztergom — were almost certainly interrupted during the occupation. Coins from this reign are consequently found in a wide range of execution quality, likely reflecting the uneven resumption of mint activity after Béla returned from refuge in Dalmatia to rebuild the kingdom.
