Obverse description A bold double-barred cross divides the field into four quadrants, each quadrant adorned with a stylized rosette or star motif composed of pellets and wedge-shaped elements. The arms of the cross are beaded, and additional pellets are scattered throughout the quadrants. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border, characteristic of Hungarian hammered coinage of the late 12th century. The letters M M appear in the upper two quadrants, rendered in a Romanesque majuscule style.
