Béla I seized the Hungarian throne from his nephew Andrew I in 1060, and his coinage reflects the disruption — this denier belongs to a reign that lasted barely three years before Béla died in 1063, reportedly crushed when his wooden throne collapsed during a coup attempt by Andrew's son Salomon.
