Reverse description A tetrastyle temple or church façade, depicted in a schematic architectural style with a triangular pediment surmounted by a small cross, supported by four columns framing a central portal or arcade. A cross is prominently displayed at the center of the structure. The surrounding legend, BRVGIA SCI DONA, references the city of Bruges and its patron Saint Donatian, whose collegiate church served as the principal ecclesiastical authority in the county. The overall design reflects the Ottonian architectural coin iconography prevalent in northern European feudal deniers of the period.
