Reverse description A stylized triple-towered castle or fortified gateway occupies the central field, depicted frontally with three crenellated towers, open arched portals, and circular decorative elements on the towers, consistent with the heraldic castle motif associated with the County of Valentinois. A numerical or decorative mark appears at the base of the castle. The surrounding Latin legend names the issuing count and his territorial title. The flan edges are irregular and show typical hammered-coinage characteristics.
