| Obverse description | Central cross with pellets in each of the four quarters, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The cross divides the central field into four equal sections, each adorned with a pellet rendered in low relief characteristic of Carolingian hammered coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the beaded border, reading clockwise from the top. The flan is irregular in shape, as is typical of hand-struck ninth-century deniers, with some legend loss at the periphery. |

| Reverse description | A stylized Carolingian temple or church facade rendered in relief, depicted with four columns supporting a triangular pediment surmounted by a cross, all set within a beaded inner circle. The architectural motif follows the conventional Carolingian moneta type associated with major minting centers. A circular Latin legend surrounds the beaded border, identifying the city of Milan as the place of issue. The irregular flan exhibits typical edge chipping and weakness consistent with hammered production of the period. |
