| Obverse description | Bust of Bishop Arnulf facing left, depicted within a beaded or scrolled inner circle, rendered in a schematic Ottonian style typical of early medieval episcopal coinage. The effigy is shown in profile with stylized drapery and what appears to be a pontifical vestment. The surrounding circular legend reads ARNOLFVS EPS, identifying the issuing bishop.
