Obverse description Central field displays an upright episcopal crozier facing right, flanked by three crosslets arranged symmetrically in the field. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, beyond which runs the Latin episcopal legend. The overall composition is typical of anonymous feudal ecclesiastical coinage of southern France, struck in a bold though somewhat irregular hammered style.
