| Beschrijving voorzijde | Stylized facing head in the 'bléso-chartraine' tradition, depicted within a rectangular frame surmounted by a row of pellets or denticles at the top. The portrait, rendered in a highly schematic medieval manner, is flanked on either side by pellets in the field. A recumbent lily (fleur-de-lis lying on its side) appears below the bust, serving as the principal heraldic device of the County of Chartres.
