| Obverse description | A plain cross with splayed arms occupies the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend reads ALTISIODOR, the Latin toponym for Auxerre, introduced by a cross pommée. The lettering is rendered in a characteristic Romanesque majuscule, typical of feudal French coinage of the mid-twelfth century. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped at the edges, as is common for hammered billon deniers of this period. |

| Reverse description | A cross with splayed arms is centrally positioned within a beaded inner circle. In the four quadrants formed by the cross arms, the design features two annulets and two groups of three pellets arranged in triangular formation, alternating around the cross. The outer field between the beaded inner circle and the coin's edge is plain, with no legend or additional inscription. The overall design reflects the anonymous feudal coinage tradition of the County of Auxerre, with the distinctive pellet and annulet ornaments serving as identifying mintmarks for this type. |
