Obverse description Crude effigy of a ruler's bust facing left, rendered in the primitive Romanesque hammered style typical of 11th-century Low Countries deniers. The portrait, struck on an irregularly shaped flan, displays schematic facial features with a visible eye and suggested hair or crown treatment atop the head. Surrounding legend letters, partially legible, are distributed around the bust in the field. The entire design reflects the rudimentary die-cutting conventions of anonymous feudal coinage from the County of Namur.
