Reverse description A bold cross pattée, centrally placed and occupying the majority of the field, without an inner circle. The arms of the cross extend close to the beaded border that encircles the design. The legend is distributed around the cross in the outer field, reading clockwise, separated by pellets. The overall execution is typical of hammered Lorraine deniers of the thirteenth century.
