Obverse description Central pellet surrounded by a cross formed of four broad concave-sided lobes or petal-like segments, each pair flanked by a small annulet in the angles, giving the composition a quatrefoil appearance. The overall execution is crude and irregular, characteristic of early 12th-century episcopal bracteate-related coinage. No legend is present; the design fills the broad, uneven field within a plain border.
