| Beschrijving keerzijde | A plain cross occupies the central field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle (grenetis), with the mint name legend distributed around the periphery. The cross divides the inner field into four quarters in the manner typical of Carolingian-derived denier coinage. The beaded border is clearly visible, though partially weak due to the irregular hammered strike. The overall design follows the standard anonymous denier type struck at Sarrebourg under the authority of the Bishopric of Metz. |
