| Descrizione del rovescio | A plain Latin cross centered in the field, with one large globule (bezant) placed in each of the four angles formed by the arms of the cross, giving the characteristic arrangement of four bezants. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle (grenetis), with the Latin legend +ODDO IDIIIID running around the circumference. The execution is typical of anonymous Rhenish-Westphalian deniers of the late 11th to early 12th century, with bold, slightly irregular lettering. |
