| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field dominated by a pentalpha (five-pointed star) formed by intersecting incuse lines, with large globules occupying each of the five interstices between the star's points and at the centre. The design is rendered in a bold, primitive style characteristic of early Carolingian anonymous issues. A partial border of pellets is visible along the upper rim. The flan is irregular and slightly cracked, as typical of hammered silver deniers of this period. |

The overall style is characteristic of the anonymous deniers struck at Tours during the mid-eighth century Frankish period. The flan is irregularly shaped with uneven surfaces consistent with hand hammering. |
