Reverse description Central raised globule surrounded by a ring of pellets forming a beaded annulus, creating a concentric boss motif in the field. Around the central device, a partial and partially legible Latin legend runs along the periphery, though the letters are worn and irregularly struck. The overall style is characteristic of the anonymous deniers struck at Tours during the mid-eighth century Frankish period. The flan is irregularly shaped with uneven surfaces consistent with hand hammering.
