Obverse description Frontal effigy of King Andrew II standing, depicted in regal attire, holding an orb in the left hand and a scepter in the right hand. The figure is rendered in a stylized, flat relief characteristic of early 13th-century Hungarian hammered coinage. A circular legend surrounds the royal figure in the field, though the inscription is poorly preserved on most specimens due to the irregular flan and worn dies.
