Obverse description Central field bears the monogram xЯ (retrograde R with x), rendered in bold hammered relief. A stylized floral ornament or rosette is positioned centrally among the letters. A circular legend composed of Latin characters surrounds the central device, partially legible due to the irregular flan and characteristic wear of hammered medieval coinage. The overall design is executed in the crude but distinctive style typical of early 13th-century Hungarian deniers.
