附加信息

Alfonso III of Aragon — known as "the Benign" — inherited the County of Barcelona along with the Aragonese crown in 1327, and his Catalan billon issues reflect a monetary system already under strain from decades of warfare against Genoese interests in Sardinia. The conquest and administration of Sardinia, formally ceded by the papacy to Aragon in 1297, consumed resources throughout his reign and depressed the silver content of subsidiary coinage across his territories.

Cru#367 sits in a transitional moment for Catalan currency, just before the monetary reforms that would accelerate under Pere III.
