Obverse description Central plain cross with a small annulet or pellet in the upper angle, set within a beaded inner circle. The cross divides the field into four quadrants, with the design executed in a characteristically crude hammered style typical of 12th-century feudal Languedoc coinage. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the beaded border.
