| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing right bust of Count Albert III rendered in crude Romanesque style, depicting the ruler with curly hair indicated by a beaded or pellet-decorated border around the head. The effigy is executed in high relief typical of 11th-century hammered deniers, with schematic facial features including a pronounced eye and simplified drapery at the shoulder. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central effigy, reading ALBERTVS with letters separated by annulets. The flan is irregular, a characteristic of hand-struck medieval coinage, with the legend partially visible depending on strike. |

Albert III inherited Namur in 1064 following the death of his father Albert II, holding the county through a period when the Meuse valley's deniers were among the most imitated coin types in the Low Countries — a backhanded measure of their commercial reach. The county's mint output in this decade was modest, and surviving examples with clear attribution to Albert III rather than his predecessors require careful die study against Ilisch's corpus.
