| Obverse description | A plain cross pattée occupies the central field, dividing the die into four quadrants, each containing a small six-pointed star. The cross arms extend nearly to the inner legend border, creating a bold, symmetrical design typical of Lotharingian episcopal coinage. The peripheral Latin legend names the issuing bishop and runs clockwise around the coin. The flan is irregular and slightly concave, with characteristic strike weakness visible in several areas. |
