The cross arms extend toward a surrounding border of degenerate pseudo-lettering, comprising fragmentary and imitative letter-like forms that are no longer legible as a coherent legend. The overall composition is typical of the debased ecclesiastical coinage attributed to the Fraumünster Abbey of Zurich during this period.
