Obverse description Heavily worn hammered silver field displaying faint traces of a Cyrillic legend around the periphery, largely illegible due to striking irregularities and surface corrosion typical of medieval Russian wire-money production. The central design is obscured but consistent with the crude pictorial devices found on Serpukhov-Borovsk dengas of this period. The irregular flan exhibits characteristic clipping and uneven metal flow along the edges.
