Reverse description Simplified and partially distorted Kufic Arabic legend arranged within a square frame, as visible in the image with bold, angular strokes characteristic of Mongol-era coinage imitations. The inscription references Sultan Toktamysh Khan, though the legend is rendered in a degraded, formulaic manner by a Muscovite die-cutter unfamiliar with Arabic script. Dot embellishments appear within and around the frame. A mirrored and distorted reverse variety (HP II, 1357 D) is also recorded for this type.
