| Reverse description | The reverse presents a four-line Cyrillic inscription occupying the entire field of the irregular flan, reading ГОСПОДАРЬ ВСЕЯ РУСИ, meaning 'Sovereign of All Rus'. The bold, deeply struck Cyrillic letterforms are arranged in horizontal registers across the coin's surface, characteristic of the Novgorod mint's textual reverse type favored during the reign of Vasiliy III. The letters are well-defined despite minor die wear, with the text filling the available field from top to bottom. The flan edges are irregular and show characteristic clipping from the wire-cutting process typical of hammered Russian coinage of this era. No additional ornamental elements or borders are present, the inscription alone constituting the entire reverse design. |
