| Reverse description | Reverse bears a Tatar-style Arabic legend in naskh script, occupying the central field of the irregular silver planchet, a common feature of Russian appanage coinage of the early 15th century reflecting the continuing influence of the Golden Horde. The inscription is partially legible due to weak strike and planchet irregularity, arranged in two or three lines within the field. This bilingual typology, with a Slavic obverse design and Arabic reverse legend, is characteristic of the transitional coinage of the Serpukhov-Borovsk principality under Ivan Vladimirovich. |
