| Obverse description | Depiction of a mounted warrior, shown in profile facing right, seated upon a horse in a dynamic posture. The rider raises a weapon — likely a sword or sabre — in his right hand, while confronting a rearing animal, possibly a lion or bear, before him. The design is rendered in the bold, schematic style characteristic of Muscovite wire money (chekanka), with strongly raised relief against an uneven flan. No legend appears on this face; the imagery follows the established iconographic tradition of the Grand Prince as mounted sovereign-warrior. |

| Reverse description | The reverse bears a multi-line Cyrillic inscription filling the entire field, struck in bold raised letters in the archaic semi-uncial (poluustav) script typical of Muscovite coinage of the sixteenth century. The legend reads КНЯЗЬ ВЕЛИКИЙ ИВАН (Grand Prince Ivan), identifying the issuing ruler. The text is distributed across three lines and occupies nearly the full surface of the irregular, oval flan, consistent with the wire-money (serebryanik) format of this period. The flan edges are naturally irregular, a product of the hand-cut wire blank and hammer-striking technique. |
