| Reverse description | Central device consisting of a stylised three-petalled flower or trefoil ornament occupying the middle of the field, a decorative motif characteristic of Muscovite denga coinage of Ivan III. Surrounding the central ornament, fragmentary Cyrillic letters are disposed across the field, partially legible due to the irregular flan and variable die alignment inherent to hammered wire-money production. The overall design is executed in a schematic, low-relief style typical of the period. |
