| Reverse description | The reverse bears a partial Cyrillic legend in the left field, rendered in angular, archaic letterforms consistent with mid-15th-century Russian epigraphy. The inscription, reading КНЯЗЬ ИВАНЪ, identifies the issuing prince Ivan Fyodorovich of Ryazan. The remaining field to the right shows the characteristic deep concavity produced by the opposing die strike, with the flan distortion and surface texture typical of hammered silver wire-money. The legend is only partially legible due to the limited striking area of the irregular flan. |
