Obverse description Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed at centre, each head crowned and facing outward, surmounted by a large imperial crown above. The eagle bears a shield on its breast depicting St. George slaying the dragon; the right talon holds a sceptre and the left an orb. The mintmaster's initials Ф Г appear below the eagle's tail, with the date 1810 inscribed along the lower field. The design is contained within a plain inner border with a fine milled outer rim.

Reverse description The denomination ДЕНЬГА inscribed in bold Cyrillic lettering at centre, separated by a horizontal rule from the mint mark С.П.Б. below, denoting the St. Petersburg Mint. A six-pointed star ornament appears above the denomination. The central device is framed by a wreath composed of laurel on the left and oak on the right, tied at the base with a ribbon bow. An imperial crown surmounts the wreath at the top, and the whole is enclosed within a plain inner border with a milled outer rim.
