| Obverse description | Central field features the ornate imperial cypher of Tsar Alexander II, composed of an elaborate interlaced Cyrillic letter 'А' surmounted by the Roman numeral 'II' below, the whole topped by the Imperial Russian crown with cross finial. The cypher is rendered in a decorative foliate style with scrolling flourishes extending to either side. The design occupies the full field with no surrounding legend, presenting a clean, heraldic composition characteristic of mid-19th century Russian coinage. |
