| Obverse description | Facing bust of the bishop in pontifical vestments, depicted frontally in the center of the coin, wearing a mitre and holding a crozier to the right. The figure is rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner typical of 14th-century northern Italian ecclesiastical coinage. A circular beaded inner border frames the bust. The surrounding legend in uncial Latin characters reads the abbreviated name and title of Nicholas, Bishop of Trento, interrupted by decorative stops and floral ornaments. |
