Reverse description Central field dominated by a stylized cross with splayed terminals, with the arms of the cross extending toward the legend. A granulated or beaded circular motif occupies the center of the cross, characteristic of Paduan denaro piccolo coinage of the Carrarese period. The surrounding legend, interspersed with pellet stops and a trefoil initial mark, reads CIVITAS, identifying the issuing city of Padova. The flan edges are irregular, reflecting the hammered technique employed at the Padova mint during the brief lordship of Francesco II da Carrara.
