Obverse description Central heraldic shield bearing the patriarchal arms of Aquileia, divided into quarters with alternating crosshatched and diagonally striped fields, rendered in the characteristic flat relief of hammered medieval coinage. The shield is set within a beaded border, with the surrounding legend divided into three segments by the shield's upper corners. The inscription reads in Latin, identifying the issuing see of Aquileia.

Reverse description Full-length frontal figure of the Patriarch in liturgical vestments, wearing a mitre and standing in hieratic pose. In his right hand he holds a patriarchal cross and in his left a book (Gospel), with a small eagle shield displayed at his side dividing the surrounding legend. The figure is rendered in the stylized, flat manner typical of northern Italian hammered denari of the early 14th century, with the legend distributed on either side of the figure.
