| Obverse description | A short cross pattée at center, with a five-pointed star occupying each of the upper two quarters, all enclosed within an inner beaded circle. The surrounding legend reads CREMONA in uncial Latin characters, introduced by a cross pommée. The overall style is characteristic of northern Italian communal coinage of the early fourteenth century, with bold but irregularly struck lettering typical of hammered billon production. |
