Obverse description Two standing, frontally-oriented figures shown at full length, flanking a central cross which they hold jointly between them; Saint Hermagoras is positioned to the right. The figures divide the circular legend, which is enclosed within a reeded inner circle. The composition is typical of Patriarchate of Aquileia denari, rendered in the flat, hieratic style characteristic of 13th-century Italian ecclesiastical coinage.
