Reverse description Full-length, frontally-facing figure of the patriarch depicted standing, holding a book before him with both hands. The patriarchal effigy divides the surrounding legend into two halves, one on each side of the figure. The rendering is schematic and linear, consistent with the struck hammered style of mid-13th-century north Italian ecclesiastical denari. The legend identifies the issuer by name and ecclesiastical title.
