| Beschrijving keerzijde | Within a central beaded inner circle, a large Gothic letter G occupies the central field, flanked symmetrically by four six-pointed stars positioned at the cardinal points around it, referencing the patron saint of Novara. The letter G is rendered in a bold medieval Gothic style, dominating the flan within the inner circle. The surrounding field between the beaded inner circle and the outer border carries the Latin legend invoking the imperial and saintly authority of Gaudentius. The strike is characteristic of late 13th-century hammered billon coinage from the Piedmont region. |
