| Obverse description | A small floriated cross occupies the centre of the field, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The arms of the cross terminate in stylised floral or trefoil finials, giving the design an ornate Gothic character typical of northern Italian medieval coinage. Rosette or floral stops punctuate the surrounding circular legend. The peripheral legend runs between the beaded inner circle and an outer beaded border. |
