Obverse description Laureate head of Vespasian facing right, rendered in a realistic portrait style characteristic of Flavian imperial coinage. The emperor's mature features are depicted with pronounced musculature and a slightly furrowed brow, consistent with official portraiture of his reign. The laurel wreath sits firmly upon the head, its individual leaves rendered with fine engraving. The circumferential legend runs along the outer field, partially visible around the irregular flan.

Reverse description Ceres, draped, enthroned and seated left upon a high-backed chair, her robes rendered in careful folds indicative of Flavian artistic convention. In her extended right hand she holds corn-ears and a poppy, symbolic of her dominion over grain and agricultural abundance. Her left hand holds an upright torch, a reference to her mythological search for Proserpina. The composition is framed by the abbreviated tribunician and consular legend distributed across the field.
