Obverse description Laureate head of Vespasian facing right, rendered in the robust, realistic portraiture characteristic of Flavian die-engraving, with prominent facial features and a wreath of laurel leaves encircling the crown. The bare neck truncation is unadorned. The encircling legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan, partially divided at the base of the bust.

Reverse description Draped bust of a female personification, turreted and facing right, her hair elaborately arranged with a mural crown atop her head, identifying her as the personification of Pax or a related civic virtue celebrating world peace under imperial authority. The drapery falls gracefully over the shoulder in fine folds rendered in the hammered style. The reverse legend encircles the bust, reading clockwise from the left field.
