| 正面描述 | Laureate bust of Vespasian facing right, with short hair rendered in detailed relief and a wreath of laurel leaves crowning the head, consistent with imperial portraiture of the Flavian dynasty. The emperor's features are depicted with characteristic realism — a broad face, strong jaw, and pronounced brow — reflecting the Flavian sculptural style. A paludamentum (military cloak) is visible at the truncation of the bust. The surrounding field bears the imperial titulature legend in Latin characters, partially legible on this example. The portrait conveys the authoritative gravitas befitting Rome's first Flavian emperor. |

Issued in the immediate aftermath of the Year of the Four Emperors, this denarius belongs to a group struck to celebrate the loyalty of the legions — CONSEN EXERCIT referencing the consensus of the armies that backed Vespasian's bid for power. Without that military consensus, largely secured through the eastern legions he commanded in Judaea, his principate simply does not happen. The type is a direct acknowledgment of that debt.
