| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in the veristic portrait tradition characteristic of early Flavian coinage, with fleshy features and closely cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath. The imperial effigy occupies the central field, with the encircling Latin legend distributed around the periphery. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped, as typical of hammered silver denarii of this period. The portrait conveys the austere, military character associated with Vespasian's iconography. |
